South Dakota ag prices for December
SIOUX FALLS, SD, December 30, 2014 — Preliminary prices received by farmers for winter wheat in December averaged $5.83 per bushel, is up 21 cents from last month according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The preliminary December spring wheat price, at $6.14, is up 52 cents from last month.
The preliminary December corn price, at $3.44, is up 20 cents from last month.
The preliminary December soybean price, at $9.66, is up 14 cents from last month.
The preliminary December oat price, at $3.02, is down 16 cents from the last month.
The December alfalfa hay price, at $119 per ton, is up $2 from last month. The other hay price, at $94, is up $4 from last month.
The preliminary December price for all sunflower was withheld to avoid disclosing data for individual operations.
