South Dakota State Univ. Little I: March 27-28

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The 92nd Little International will take place Friday and Saturday, March 27-28, at South Dakota State University. Participants and spectators will celebrate the lasting legacy of one of the nation's largest livestock contests.
Hundreds of high school students as well as some college students compete in the event, held at SDSU's Animal Science Arena. Little 'I' is managed by SDSU college students and is famous as the largest two-day student-run agricultural exposition in the nation.
There's no charge for admission. Events begin at 7 a.m. Friday with a full slate of livestock judging contests, showmanship and fitting competitions, as well as displays, with Friday's events wrapping up with the dairy fitting finals at 9 p.m. Saturday's events kick off with yearling horse showmanship preliminaries at 8 a.m. and conclude with an awards ceremony at 9:15 p.m. The 10 p.m. dance featuring Chancey Williams at the Swiftel in Brookings on Saturday evening, March 28, will cap off the event. The cost for the dance will be $10 and tickets can be purchased through Ticket Master or the Swiftel Box Office.
