South Dakota: Technology in Agriculture workshops set for Newell and Faith on Feb. 23 and Feb. 28

The South Dakota State University Cooperative Extension Service will be offering Technology in Agriculture Workshops on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at TJ’s Watering Hole in Newell, SD; and on Monday, Feb. 28 at the Community Center in Faith.
The workshops begin at 10:30 a.m. with “Quicken Basics and More.” The afternoon sessions start at 1 p.m. with “Recordkeeping Programs” that cover livestock, grazing and additional resources that will help your operation stay up to date and organized.
“Beef Ration Balancing Software for Your Operation” will begin at 3 p.m. with a look at several different ration balancing software programs. Each of the sessions will be hands-on, with laptop computers provided.
Attend all the sessions or select one or more areas you are interested in learning about. The workshops are free of charge with lunch on your own. Come and check out multiple computer-based agricultural programs with the help of Extension Educators to walk you through the different options available.
