It was a fine day in Bowman, N.D., for the Southwest Select Broke Horse Sale hosted by Bowman Auction Market. There was a wide range of horsepower brought by consigners near and far.
The consignments were definitely dispersed to good homes as there was a horse to fit all buyers, which puts the SSBHS as one of the best for buyers and sellers. Everyone can appreciate the careful selection that goes into the consignment process so all can fell comfortable and confident as they bought the horse that caught their eye. Honesty is a big word used around the SSBHS and I believe it made a difference.
Hats off again to another successful sale!
Lot 28, Look at My Roots a 2007 sorrel gelding brought by Jeremy and Katie Langdean, top the sale at $16,000. This Doc Bar bred horse headed to Baker, Mont., purchased by Dave Crawford.
Lot 29, Heza Blue Star consigned by Elvis, Jackie, and Dustin Entzel, sold for $10,000 to Kim Werner of Flasher, N.D. This 2009 blue roan gelding was another well bred Doc Bar horse that could do it all on the ranch while being one of the most eye appealing horses there.
Lot 5, FA Drifters Gumbo a 2010 palomino gelding consigned by Wyatt Magilke, also sold for $10,000. A grandson of PC Boston Bob and more Cowan bloodlines on the bottom, this horse is headed home with a North Dakota buyer.
Lot 31 Nokota Spook, a 2004 sorrel gelding head horse sold by Logan Seifert. This horse was purchased by Molly Rotenberger of Ludlow, S.D., for $9,200.
Lot 41 sold for $8,100 to Doug Cogan of Hill City, SD.
Zekan is a 2009 grade sorrel gelding that is going good in the heading end and was consigned by Matt Wznick.
