What a Beautiful Sale Day for the Tony and Leona Stroh and Mike and Dawn Stroh, families, owners of Stroh Herefords, Killdeer, ND. Bleachers were filled for Stroh Hereford Production Sale on Feb. 2, at Stockmen’s West in Dickinson, ND.

Topping the bull sale was Lot 1 an April 5, 2010 solid marked bull with a final bid of $7,000 from Woroniecki Brothers, Hebron, ND. This SHR Domino 09, a son of UPS Domino3027 posted a 88 pound birth weight, 205-day weight of 799 pounds and a very desirable set of EPDs, BW 2.6, WW 48, YW 77 and Milk 27. Stroh Hereford Ranch reserved one-fourth interest.

Teddy Woods was a large contributor to the Stroh sale purchasing three top-notch bulls. Lot 22 sold for $6,250 to Teddy Woods, Wibaux, MT, who purchased a son of KB L1 Domino 563R. This thick, well muscled April 2, two-year-old had a 91 pound birth weight, with a 205-day weight of 810. EPDs were BW 2.9, WW 49, YW 79 and Milk 24. His mother was a Robin Hood cow who consistently throws top calves. Lot 33, another son of KB L1 Domino 563 R for $6,000 having a 86 pound birth weight, 205-day weight of 711. His EPDs were BW 2.6, WW 49, YW 73 and Milk 19. Lot 52 sold for $5,500. This was another son of KB L1 Domino 563 R with a birth weight of 83 pounds, 205-day weight of 715 pounds. His EPDs were BW 3.7, WW 47, YW 76 and Milk 15.

Lot 45 topped at $5,500 selling to Paul Jacobson, Max, ND. This thick, solid marked son of KB L1 Domino 563R posted an birth weight of 76 pounds, 205-day weight of 797. His EPDs were BW 1.2, WW 45, YW 78 and Milk 24. This was the highest gain from birth weight to 205-day weight in the sale.

Scott & Cheryl Boyce, Killdeer, ND took home a nice pen of 13 Herefords bred black heifers for $1,950 a piece.
