TK Angus 23rd Annual Bull Sale
February 25, 2011
Tim and Kim Marlatt along with their family held their 23rd annual bull sale on Jan. 28 at the ranch outside of Gordon, NE on a beautiful spring-like day.
TK Angus hosted one of their most successful sales to date. Several bulls sold to repeat buyers and many bulls sold to volume buyers.
TK Angus has several changes coming their way. They will be switching to a fall-calving herd exclusively. This will provide buyers with older, eighteen-month-old bulls that will cover more cows and more country.
They will be hosting a spring cow herd dispersal sale on March 27, 2011.
Topping this year’s sale was Lot 14, a Jan. 31, 2010 son of Connealy Concrete out of a TK Gateway dam. With EPDs of: BW -1.4, WW +56, YW +100 and Milk +17, he sold for $9,000 to LBS Angus, Fortuna, ND.
The next top selling bull was Lot 6 for $8,000 to Bob Stoddard of Douglas, WY. He is a Jan. 25, 2010 son of Connealy Deep Canyon and out of a SAV 8180 Traveler 004 daughter.
