Tim and Kim Marlett of TK Angus hosted their Mature Cowherd Dispersal at the Valentine Livestock Auction in Valentine, NE on Dec. 5, 2009. This is a family run operation with the genetic base derived from heifers that Tim showed when he was in 4-H in the 1970’s. Most of the cowherd today can be traced back to those females. With such a small genetics base, the TK cowherd of today is very uniform and productive.

The TK Angus philosophy is to use good bulls that will produce sound females and raise good bulls that will give their commercial bull customers financial success. The foundation females in the sale were bred to some of the best bulls in the Angus business. Buyers had the opportunity to select from a large group of proven, reliable cows that have very balanced maternal, growth and calving ease traits.
