Tokach Angus Ranch held their 39th Annual Cutting Edge Genetics performance production sale at Kist Livestock Auction, Mandan, N.D. Feb. 17, 2014.
This was a thick, stout set of high-quality bulls, sired by the best genetics of the Angus breed, ranking in the top percentile of the breed for the most economical traits measurable. They had all the characteristics of what Angus cattle should be; small “Angus” looking heads, clean fronted and tight sheaths. The heifers were very feminine and in great sale condition.
Topping the bulls was lot 144, Tokach Earnan 3751 a Feb. 22, 2013 son of Connealy Earnan 076E and out of a Sitz Upward 307R dam. This bull has EPDs of BW 1.8 WW 66 Milk 30 YW 112 with a $B of 96.69. Urlacher Angus, Regent, N.D. was the buyer at $15,000.
Selling at $12,500 was lot 122, Tokach Earnan 3714 a Feb. 18, 2013 son of Connealy Earnan 076E and also out of a Sitz Upward 307R dam with EPDs of BW 2.8 WW 64 Milk 29 YW 118 and $B of 101.50 sold to Hoffman Angus, Wheatland, N.D.
Lot 109 sold to Archie Wanner, Hebron, N.D. for $9,000. Tokach Timeless 3664 is a Feb. 14, 2013, son of WMR Timeless 458 out of a B/R New Frontier 095 daughter and has EPDs of BW 3.4 WW 64 Milk 28 YW 105.
Lot 56, Tokach Mandate 3617, a Feb. 11, 2013 son of SYDGEN Mandate 6079 with EPDs of BW 2.3 WW 77 Milk 38 YW 132 sold to Corey Svenningsen, Valley City, N.D. for $9,000
Lot 78, Tokach Update 3658 a Feb. 14, 2013 son of Tokach Update 9009 with EPDs of BW 1.7 WW 56 Milk 33 YW 97 sold to RK Angus, Roger Knochenmus, Sioux Falls, S.D. for $9,000

Lot 184, Tokach Erica Eileen 2023, a Feb. 1, 2012 daughter of HA Image Maker 0415 out of a Connealy Thunder dam was bred to Hoover Dam and sold to Ralph and Pat Howard, Dunn Center, N.D. for $4,750.
