Treasure County (MT) FSA Office possibly closing; public meeting set for Jan. 26

BOZEMAN, MT – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Montana Farm Service Agency (FSA) Acting State Executive Director Dick Deschamps has announced that an important public meeting in Treasure County (MT) has been scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Community Center at 306 Rapelje Ave. in Hysham.

FSA’s public meeting will be the only one held to take oral public comment on USDA’s proposed office consolidation plan in which the Treasure County FSA Office is being considered for consolidation. Producers can also provide written comment at the meeting or by e-mailing richard.deschamps@mt.usda.gov or sending written comment to Acting State Executive Director Dick Deschamps; P.O. Box 670; Bozeman, MT 59771 or Fax Number: 406-587-6993 no later than close of business on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012.

All public comments will be taken into full consideration prior to the development or implementation of a final consolidation plan.
