USDA’s NASS releases key reports
Corn, wheat and cotton acreage will all go down this year while soybean acreage will rise 1 percent, the Agriculture Department’s National Agricultural Statistics Service said today in its Prospective Plantings reports.
Analysts had predicted the acreage shifts.
In its Grain Stocks report, NASS said corn stocks are up 11 percent from March 2014, soybean stocks are up 34 percent and wheat stocks are up 6 percent.
In its Rice Stocks report, NASS said rough and milled rice stocks are up.
