Wedge Tent Ranch Angus Bull Sale

Doug Hogan

Wedge Tent Ranch held their annual Angus bull sale on April 20, 2011 at Lemmon Livestock, Lemmon, SD. Wedge Tent Ranch is owned and operated by Bart and Shannon Carmichael and family. Again, Mother Nature blessed the countryside with another spring storm that delayed school times and made early morning travel a challenge; but moisture is something we can be thankful for.

Bart was confident that through support from repeat buyers and phone calls the weather wasn’t going to slow or stop him from having the sale. As noon came, so did the crowd. Auctioneer Doug Dietterle took the microphone and made his way through a snappy sale. Bulls were in the right condition for this time of year, with great dispositions and structural correctness.

The top-selling bull was Lot 24, WT Twister 316-024, a 3/23/10 son of MH Dakota 4010, sold to Steve Papineau from Alexander, ND, for $4,500.

Lot 19, WT 738-019, a 3/29/10 son of OCC Missing Link 830M, sold to Storm Inc., Meadow, SD, for $4,250.

Lot 22, WT 624-022, a 4/2/10 son of Oak Hollow 7709, sold to Ryan Vig and Barry Vig from Opal, SD, for $4,250.

Lot 17, WT 307-017, a 4/4/10 son of OCC Missing Link 830M, sold to Carter Schnell from Lemmon, SD, for $4,250.
