Topping the sale at $80,000, was lot 43. This bald faced bull is a full brother to the recently crowned national champion female. He is sired by the Werning/Genex bull Lock N Load and out of a Dream Catcher cow. He combined a great look, and muscle with a 84 pound birth weight and a 846 pound weaning weight. Harrell Cattle Company of Carthage, Ill., and Tingle Farms of Newcastle, Ky., teamed up to buy him.
Lot 52 was the second high seller, bringing $40,000, going to BF Black Simmentals of Auburn, Neb., and Brandon Bird of Lubbock, Texas. Kappes Simmentals of Long Lake, S.D., and Hart Farms each gave $15,500 to buy the next high sellers.
