Wild West PRCA Rodeo draws professional and novice competitors

The Wild West PRCA Rodeo was held June 17-19, 2011 at the Sturgis, SD, rodeo grounds for the third consecutive year. The event brought in the top professional cowboys and cowgirls with more than 300 athletes competing in the three-day event.

In addition to the professionals, 15 novice competitors rode in the Novice Bronc Riding competition on June 18. The event was sponsored by Stace Smith Pro Rodeos.

Bucking stock for the rodeo was provided by Wild Cart Rodeo, Stace Smith Pro Rodeos and Burch Rodeo – the PRCA Circuit Contractor of the Year. Congratulations to the Sturgis Wild West Committee for hosting a great weekend of rodeo action.
