World Champ Livestock Auctioneer to sell at St. Onge
Andy White, 2016 World Livestock Auctioneer Champion, will be at St. Onge Livestock (11693 Sale Barn Road, St. Onge) on Wednesday, November 2. White will be on the auction block, selling cattle and showing off the chant that earned him the world title.
St. Onge Livestock will have a special spring calf sale, all breeds. The sale will begin at 11:00 a.m. with yearlings first, followed by calves. More sale information can be found at http://www.stongelivestock.com.
White defeated 30 other contestants to win the World Livestock Auctioneer Championship (WLAC) in Paris, Kentucky. The WLAC was created and is conducted by the LMA, a national trade association for progressive livestock marketing businesses. During his year as Champion, White will travel across the U.S., with appearances at LMA member-markets and industry events.
Local livestock markets across the country work diligently to bring in multiple buyers on sale day, increasing competition with more bids. This provides true price discovery of the value of all types of livestock, maximizing returns to the seller. In turn, markets provide buyers a centralized location with a ready supply of livestock in the offering.
For more information or to arrange an interview with White, contact Lindsay Graber Runft at (816) 301-2426 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
