WY Women’s Ag Symposium Nov. 11-12
Dedicated to founding member Anne Miles, the 17th annual WY Women’s Ag Symposium will be Nov. 11-12, 2010 at the Ramada Plaza Riverside in Casper, WY.
On Nov. 11 at 6 p.m., the free evening session features Lisa Shepperson Garnhart, who participated in the movie “Code of the West.” She will discuss the principles expressed in the movie, ranching culture and the Wyoming lifestyle we are all proud to live. Afterwards she will put on her legislator’s hat and discuss upcoming legislative issues of interest. Discussion and questions are encouraged.
Cora Rose and Laurie Wood will entertain participants over appetizers and drinks.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Nov. 12, the keynote address, “Even the Longest Day is Only 24 Hours Long,” speaker Cathy Vasko of Torrington, WY, will present approaches to getting the most out of a busy woman’s day. Attendees will explore ways to survive a great day, a miserable day, a busy day or a lazy day. Maintaining a sense of humor in difficult times is the key. Another session by Vasko is “Different Strokes for Different Folks,” where she’ll identify four different personality types.
Breakout speakers include Kaycee, WY garden expert Nancy Schiffer “Gardens Made for Wyoming,” Pearley Wells “Financial Advice,” Matt Young “Digital Photography,” Garijo Brierly “Decorating on a Budget,” and Dallas Mount “Putting Profit into the Ranch.”
