Wyoming and South Dakota Ranch Sorting State Finals is Jan. 22 in Rapid City

Ranch Sorting National Championships (RSNC), Wyoming and South Dakota State Finals will be held Jan. 22, 2011 in Rapid City to help kick off the Black Hills Stock Show. The show is being sponsored by Thar’s Ranch Sorting out of Gillette, WY and is open to all sorters from any state with no pre-qualification requirements.

Buckles will be awarded to the top show point earners, as well as trophy halters for second place in each division. There will be eight classes with the registration beginning at 8 a.m.; the sort to start at 9 a.m. The classes to be run include: All Levels Handicap; Beginner Ranch Hand; #13 Handicap; Youth (ages 9-12); Pee Wee Youth (ages 5-8); #6 Handicap; #10 Masters; #4 Non Handicap; and a #12 Sadie Hawkins.

There will be something for everyone at every riding level, so bring the whole family. The sort will be held at the Pennington County Event Center at the Central States Fairgrounds.
