Wyoming Board of Agriculture to meet in Cheyenne
The Wyoming Board of Agriculture will meet in Cheyenne, WY on January 28, 2016 at the Wyoming Department of Agriculture main office.
The Wyoming Board of Agriculture meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. and is scheduled to adjourn at 2:30 p.m. Times are tentative and subject to change without notice as the Board works through the agenda. During the meeting, the Board will receive Water Quality Reports & extension requests, Rangeland Health Assessment Program reports & extension requests, Natural Resource & Policy base funding extension requests, Conservation District resignation/appointments, and Applied Producer Research Grant Program applications. Along with this, the board will have a discussion about Big Horn Sheep/Domestic Sheep Rules and the Game & Fish Access Recognition Program. They will also cover any other necessary business during the meeting and there will be a chance for public comment during the meeting. Following the Board of Agriculture meeting, the Board will participate in a joint meeting with the Wyoming Game & Fish Commission.
The Board of Agriculture enforces the rules and regulations of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture. Seven board members are appointed by the governor for six-year terms to represent geographical areas of the state. Board members include: Jana Ginter, District 1; Jim Rogers, District 2; Shaun Sims, District 3; John Moore, District 4; Alison Lass, District 5; Bryan Brost, District 6; and Kevin Schieffer., District 7. Youth Board Members include: Kendall Roberts, Southeast; Richard Schlenker, Northwest; John Hansen, Southwest; and Cameron Smith, Northeast.
