Wyoming Stockgrowers to gather for Winter Roundup

The 2014 Winter Roundup, hosted by the Wyoming Stock Growers Association (WSGA) will be in Casper at the Parkway Plaza December 1-3. The theme, “A Cornerstone for Building Our Future,” will lead into and educational and exciting convention for cattlemen and women across the state.

Monday will kick off with the Progressive Rancher Forum where various topics like Managing under Record Prices, Livestock & Resource Management, Human Impacts and Cattle Reproduction will be presented with speakers from across the state and nation. At noon, the Make it With Wool luncheon showcases wool garments made from talented ladies of all ages across the state and to end Monday, the Opening Reception and Wyoming L.E.A.D. Class XIII Auction benefitting Western Wishes™ and the Wyoming Agricultural Leadership Council (WALC) will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday’s Opening General Session will feature key note speaker, Perry Pendley, Attorney at the Mountain States Legal Foundation followed by a special presentation by Keith Geis. The day will also feature several sessions of WSGA committee meetings and conclude with the Belly Up Bar & Auction on Tuesday December 3 at 6:30 p.m. where Live and Silent Auction items from across the state will be up for bid. Wednesday, Senator Leland Christiansen and Representative Tom Walters will speak during the Legislative Breakfast and Mead during the WSGA Awards Luncheon/Banquet. The banquet will feature the Wyoming Game & Fish/Wyoming Department of Agriculture Landowner Access Awards and special information from Dan Currah about the “Hunting with Heroes – Wyoming” program.
