Young men learn finer points of bucking stock
Every spring young boys go to the school of hard knocks at Korkows Rodeo School in Blunt, S.D. This year was no exception. The weekend saw some very promising young men coming together to learn. The instructors were two time World Saddle Bronc Champion and five time NFR qualifier Chad Ferley, 2005 World Champion Jeff Willert, and 2013 NFR Bareback qualifier Ty Breuer. Casey Tibbs 2013 Rodeo cowboy great honoree Casey Gates taught the boys the finer points of bull riding.
Sr. Bull Riding Most Improved honors went to Carl Moberg, White, S.D. Kelly Montgomery of St. Onge, S.D., and Dylan Schofield of Philip, S.D., both took home awards. Sr. Bull Riding Ride-Off Champion was Luiz Leite, Wolsey, S.D./Brazil. Chazz Gabe, Timber Lake, S.D., was named Jr Bull Riding Ride-Off Champion and Most Improved.
