Benefit for young horseshoer, BHSS and Golliher events, Happy New Year
A brand New Year looms on the horizon. What are you going to do with it? I don’t make resolutions as they just beg to be broken, but I do look forward to a new year ahead and the coming spring.
We’ve been blessed to have our little grandboys staying with us. They sure put a fresh perspective on things as so much of life is brand new information for them. Watching them play together, process what they see each day here on the place, and their interpretation of those events makes for some great entertainment. I highly recommend a big dose of grandkids to fix whatever ails you.
There is going to be a fundraiser to benefit a young man who has been very ill and has some big medical bills to pay and is unable to get caught up on work. Laramie Opstedahl had a bout with C-DIF that very nearly cost him his life, so now he is in need of our help. The fundraiser will be held at the Union Center Community center on January 9. There will be a live auction, supper and musical entertainment. They are in need of items for the auction, more performers and of course, help. If you can provide any or all of these, contact Matt Trask at 605-985-5463. There, but for the grace of God, go I. Keep that in mind.
There will be open team roping practice on Tuesdays, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the South Campbell County Agriculture Complex in Wright, Wyo. Everyone is welcome to come and they will run until March 2016. For info, call Travis Mills at 307-257-4877.

I had many lasting impressions of our year in Australia but the fellow on the phone wasn’t one of them.
