Maria grew up on a ranch in western Nebraska and, after living in South Dakota for 18 years, moved back home to her grandparents’ ranch near Crawford, where she’s raising her kids and their various animals. Maria studied journalism and biology at Chadron State College, and has spent most of her professional career writing about agriculture and related subjects.
