ServSafe® Food Handler Trainings offered across the Panhandle in 2026
Nebraska Extension will offer multiple ServSafe? Food Handler training courses across the Nebraska Panhandle in 2026. The half-day trainings are designed for food service employees who handle, prepare, or serve food and want to strengthen their understanding of safe food practices. ServSafe Food Handler helps food establishments reduce the risk of foodborne illness, improve day-to-day sanitation, and build customer confidence.
The ServSafe Food Handler course provides practical, easy-to-understand instruction focused on preventing contamination and maintaining safe food environments. Participants will learn key food safety concepts, including personal hygiene, cross-contamination and allergens, time and temperature control, and cleaning and sanitation procedures. Each session also includes a proctored ServSafe Food Handler test, allowing participants to complete both the training and assessment in one setting.
ServSafe? Food Handler Trainings will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $40 per person and includes instruction, training materials, and the proctored Food Handler test.
