Gibbon packing: water well collapses

On Monday, April 13, 2026, a water well undergoing maintenance collapsed at the Gibbon Packing processing facility in Gibbon, Nebraska.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
As a result of this incident, production at the Gibbon Packing facility will be temporarily paused. The engineering team is actively working to drill a new well and restore full production operations as swiftly as possible.
Gibbon Packing employees have been retained, and supporting the team remains a top priority.
