Mekenna Fisher is a sixth-generation beef rancher from Hershey, Nebraska. Her time on the ranch fostered an appreciation for the agricultural industry and an understanding of how underrepresented it is in the media. She began writing for agricultural publications 6 years ago, and currently manages a social media platform called The Animal Agvocate, a page that promotes agricultural education and advocacy. She is studying rangeland management, legal studies, and media production at Chadron State College, where she also competes on the rodeo team.
